CHESTER BENNINGTON Explains LINKIN PARK's Longevity

LINKIN PARK singer Chester Bennington was interviewed on a recent edition of "Elvis Duran And The Morning Show". You can now watch video footage of his appearance below.

Speaking about LINKIN PARK's longevity, Chester said: "It comes from loving what you do. And also, I think, for us, the fact that we've always been so open to just kind of write whatever we feel inspired to write and not really locking ourselves into a specific place in terms of genre or style. That's the thing that I think is the most exciting for us."

He continued: "We've said it from the very beginning, but we really wanna be a band that kind of melts the walls of genre and kind of becomes its own thing that can't really be explained. Maybe song by song, but in terms of the body of work, by redefining what a band can do or what a group of musicians or a single artist can do with their own style, as long as it comes from a pure place and an honest place, you can write whatever you want."

LINKIN PARK's new single, "Heavy", features guest vocals from Kiara Saulters, who is best known for recording stop-motion, hip-hop-inspired electro-R&B under the name Kiiara. The song is taken from the band's seventh studio album, "One More Light", which will be released on May 19 through Warner Bros.

Other tunes on the new CD include "Nobody Can Save Me", "Good Goodbye", "Talking To Myself", "Battle Symphony", "Invisible", "Sorry For Now", "Halfway Right", "Sharp Edges" and the title track.

LINKIN PARK has already started booking dates in Latin America, Europe and Asia, but has yet to announce North American dates.
